In September 2019, Recom Ice Systems supplied a 25 T/day air cooled tube ice plant to Polar Ice Europe in Sweden. This tube ice plant consists of a 25 T/day tube ice machine complemented by a 5 tons ice storage, completed with a packing line that allows for 12,500 bags of ice per day. This installation has been placed inside the NewCold AB facility in Bjuv, Sweden.

The ice produced at this plant in Sweden is used in the hospitality and retail industry. The production facility is located inside a large cold storage warehouse from where the ice can be directly distributed to a range of different retail stores. The entire installation has been designed to allow for maximum efficiency, but above all optimum food safety standards.
